When you sign in with Google, we receive:

  • Your name (as provided by Google)
  • A unique identifier from Google

Passcode Data

When you use our service, we store:

  • Your encrypted Screen Time passcode
  • The state of your passcode (locked, revealed, countdown)
  • Timestamps related to reveal requests

How We Protect Your Data

Your passcode is encrypted using industry-standard encryption before being stored. We use:

  • Encryption at rest: Your passcode is encrypted before storage
  • Secure transmission: All data is transmitted over HTTPS
  • Firebase Security: Data is stored in Google Firebase with strict access rules

We cannot see your actual passcode - only the encrypted version is stored.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information solely to:

  • Provide the WaitToUnlock service
  • Store and manage your encrypted passcode
  • Authenticate your account
  • Send service-related communications (if necessary)

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your passcode at any time through the app, or delete your entire account from the user menu to remove all your data permanently.

Legal Basis for Processing

We process your personal data on the following legal bases under GDPR:

Data Transfers

Our application is hosted on Vercel in the EU (Paris, France region - cdg1). Encrypted passcode data is stored in Google Firebase with primary residency in the EU. However, as part of Google's global infrastructure, data may be replicated or backed up internationally, including to the United States. Google maintains appropriate safeguards for international data transfers, including Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and other mechanisms approved under GDPR Article 46.

We use only essential cookies required for the service to function:
